Day 190 - Steppin

A few days ago, Abby figured out that she can stand up and walk where ever she wants. It's been so great. She walks all over the apartment going from room to room and has a lot of fun. Tonight, she was carrying her backpack around in her hand. Daddy put it on her back for her and she wondered around for awhile like that before bedtime. The picture is a little fuzzy, but I love how I have caught her in mid step.

Day 189 - Check Up

We went to an urgent care to have Abby's ears checked for the ear infections before we fly home on Saturday. She was a little fussy and kept going between Daddy and I. Her ears seem to be doing ok, but I'll have to watch out when we get home for signs that the infections have returned.

Day 188 - Breath of Fresh Air

Steve took us out to Carraba's for dinner tonight. Abby started to get pretty fussy not too soon after our soup and salad came out from the kitchen. While the waitress boxed up our main course, Abby and I went outside to walk around and wait for Daddy to come out.

Day 187 - My Contemplative Man

Steve spends a lot of time studying things. He is a very contemplative person. Often I can find him sitting and just thinking or reading up on some type of war or weapons or something from history.

Day 185 - Profile

I had originally planned to do some cool 4th of July stuff with Abby for our photo today, but after church, Abby was running a fever. It looks as though she is cutting one of her lower molars. We just went outside to play in the grass and take some pics a little before bedtime.

Day 184 - Standing Position Move

Abby is starting to stand up from where ever she is at the moment. Daddy is really good at working with Abby in different progressive acts. Today I noticed that she stacked some blocks we have here for her; something else Daddy taught her.

Day 183 - Our Coastal Adventure

Today we drove to Wilmington, NC. We had a good lunch at Two Guys Grille, then headed over to Wrightsville Beach to go swimming. The water was amazingly warm and the waves were fun. Abby, however, was not a fan of the ocean waves. She was pretty terrified and even screamed once. After swimming, we drove further down the coast to the Fort Fisher Aquarium and then I took some pictures of Steve and Abby on the beach nearby. It was a great family day!

Day 182 - Stands Her Ground

Abby is standing on her own more and more. Its funny how some kids will stand first and others walk first. She still isn't trying to stand up from where she is... she is still using other things to help her get to a standing position.

Day 181 - The Color of the Alphabet

Today was one of those days where I almost forgot to take a picture. I'd like to try and use these days to do more creative photo's. The past few days, I've noticed Abby's little foam alphabet pieces all over the place and have been thinking a picture would be cool. I chose "yes" and "no" as my word selection because I feel like those are two words I'm saying to Abby constantly.
