Day 109 - Photo Session with Eden

I've been planning for months to do a photo session with Eden Thome of Eden Rose Photography. This is my Mother's Day gift to myself. We hung out from 5-7 this evening at San Rafael Park. I had a really great time, but Abby was a tough crowd. It was so hard to get her to smile. Eden got some great pics though, and I'm really anxious to see what they look like!

Day 108 - Self Portrait

It was getting closed to bedtime and I hadn't taken a picture yet. I ended up doing some profile experiments... this was probably the best. This is what happens when you stall going to bed.

Day 107 - BBQ In a Pit

The Ames family BBQ'd some beef and pork in a pit today and had a party! It was yummy! I hadn't realized it, but this was the first time that Missy as well as my friend Kari's husband Steve every met Abby. Steve's sister and her family was there too, as well as Mark, a friend of the Ames family! Good food, good friends, and good conversations!

Day 106 - Another Creative Message

Yep, this one goes out to my hubby as well! I've been wanting to get a bit more creative with my photo's... so today I actually took some time to do so. This is has been an idea I've had for a week or so and I'm glad that I remembered today! We miss you Daddy!

Day 105 - Message to my Hubby

Hi Babes! I love you tons and tons! Been thinking about you a lot lately. I'm glad that you are doing so well in your class and I'm very proud of you! Thanks for being so incredible!
Love you, Wife

Day 104 - Journal Jars

Our Young Women's Beehive activiy this evening was Journal Jars. We had a great time chatting and decorating journals and jars. The one right up front is mine. I wasn't able to finish it because we had to go home for Abby's bedtime. That reminds me I need to go pick it up from Shauna, or maybe Kendall?! Fun night!!

Day 103 - Girls Night

Julie (the girl on the left) has been trying to get me over to M.A.C. for some makeup 101 for about a year now. And we been trying to make actual plans for about 2 months. Today, we finally got to go. Our friend Shauna come with us. We left the kids with Julie's hubby, then headed over for dinner at Johnny' Corino's. Afterwards, I got prettied up by the M.A.C. makeup artist, then we headed back to Julie's for some dessert. It was a great night out and one I had needed for a long while!

Day 102 - Peavine Sunrise

That's Peavine Mountain there, as seen from the balcony off of my bedroom. I still can't get over the fact that I live in a valley surrounded by beautiful mountains... and I've been here for five years! I love living in Reno. One of the greatest places ever!

Day 101 - Banana Lover

My little girl loves to eat Bananas! I hadn't bought any for her to eat because I don't really care to eat them myself. But my mom had asked about it and mentioned that my nephew Damian loved them when he was Abby's age. So I decided to pick up a couple and they have been a big hit!

Day 100 - Bailey's 2nd Birthday Party

Officially, Bailey's birthday is tomorrow, but the party was today! And what a great party it was, just like last year. There were lots of people and children, a bounce house, an Easter egg hunt, great food, and some great presents too! Happy Birthday Bailey! You are one special little girl!

Day 99 - Professional Bottle Washer

At least, that's what it feels like I am. So, on this day, I actually forgot to take a photo. This is starting to become a bad habit. Though, like last time, this is a photo of something that goes on EVERY day. I will be glad when, in about 5 years, I will not have to wash bottles EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Day 98 - First Happy Meal

Today I decided was a good day for Abby to experience her first McDonald's Happy Meal! Abby's Great Nana Birtcil sent her a gift card for a Happy Meal several months ago, but she wasn't eating solid foods at the time. I ordered the chicken nugget meal and got the apple juice with it. And what was Abby's first Happy Meal toy you might ask? A dragon... not very girlie but she didn't seem to mind.

Day 97 - Clothes Shopping

Today Abby and I went out to get some new clothes. You should have seen the crazy maneuvering I had to do to get her into this changing room. It was unfortunate that the Handicap room was locked, especially since I went in and out 3 times. I'll say this: Abby enjoyed some extreme stroller tricks!

Day 96 - Square Swatch

Obviously I didn't take this photo with my camera, but I did take it using JING. Every month I take photo's of our Heritage Makers promotions so that I can send emails to clients and update my blog. That was one of the things I was working on today. The Square Swatchbook is on sale this month... which makes me very happy; it's one of my favorite products!!

Day 95 - 10 Month Old Abby

Today was not one of our best days for photo's. I took snapshots twice today, but there are hardly any good one's. I'm only a little disappointed though, because next week we have an appointment to have some professional photo's taken. Abby has grown so much this month... I'm finding it hard to believe she is already 10 months old!

Day 94 - Abby's First Easter

Definitely an interesting morning! I set up a few eggs around Abby's room so she could go hunting. Of course, she was grabbing the first placed eggs and gained no interest in any of the others. But then, when I tried to encourage her to put the eggs in the basket, she became fascinated with the grass and started pulling it out in a pile on the floor behind her. Cracked me up!

Day 93 - Sleepy Gator

There are always those moments that I wish I had my camera closer... often, one of those moments is when Abby is sleeping. Today, I actually went downstairs and grabbed the camera to snap this shot. I'm not sure what the deal is with her holding onto the rail? But it's cute!

Day 92 - Big Girl

I walked away from Abby to put the dishes away after breakfast and had left my glass a little too close. When I turned back to look, she had picked it up and was drinking out of it like a pro! Why is it that we miss these moments? It took me a few tries to stage a good snapshot of her doing it again.

Day 91 - Just Can't Help Myself

Yes... I can tend to be an impulse shopper, and that's especially the case when it comes to food or snacks! Today while I was at the Grocery store I spotted this box of cereal and thought, "Wow, that's new. Wonder if that's any good?" So, being fond of cereal as much as I am, and especially Fruity Pebbles... I snagged this box right off the shelf. Of course.. eating them is another thing all together! These things are nasty! No high recommendation here.

Day 90 - Low Ri-der

Today we were hanging out at the Rossman's house. Hayden has this awesome tricycle, so I sat Abby in it and pushed her around a little. She thought it was amusing and I thought it was way cute!

Day 89 - Behold Cuteness

It's amusing to watch the things that Abby does during the day. Lately, she has taken up playing with all the cat toys... taking them out of the little cubby holes and tossing them around. She likes to use the cat stands to stable herself as she stands up and squats down over and over. I liked this back shot... her little diaper bum is adorable!

Day 88 - Computer Problems

On Friday, Steve's old laptop decided it had enough. Well... almost. The lightbulb in the screen went out. The computer still functioned, but in order to see the screen, I had to shine a flashlight right at it; very annoying! Today, I bought a special video cord and had a friend hook up the flatscreen my parents got us for Christmas. It sure was horrible to practically be without a computer for the week... drove me nuts!

Day 87 - Spy Dog

See this dog... it's pretty big, right! Well, last night, Abby and I were sitting in the rocking chair watching some Stargate: SG-1 and I noticed something moving out of the corner of my eye through the blinds. I looked over at the sliding glass doors (only about 2 feet away) and saw this huge white wolf looking dog looking right at me. It was spooky! Today I saw him wondering around again... so I snapped a shot.

Day 86 - Up Down Up Down

Abby has been getting into the cat food bowl pretty much all the time. So when she is crawling around, I have to put it up. Only problem is that the cat starts crying at me to put it down and sometimes she is despearte enough to jump on the table or counter to eat (which I don't approve of). After going through weeks of saying "no Abby" and then here "meow" all day long, I finally figured out that the stairs was the only safe place for the cat food bowls. My mom said, "It took you long enough to figure that out".

Day 85 - Friendly Visitor

Today, Eliza come over to hang out with us for a little bit while her Mommy and Daddy were working. Abby was pretty fascinated by the baby in the car-seat... particularly the cool toy she had hanging across the bar. When I took her out, I gave Eliza some of Abby's toys... ones that she usually has no interest in anymore. For the first time, Abby displayed possessiveness towards her own things... all the sudden she wanted to play with her toys again. She also wanted to swap out her paci for Eliza's.

Day 84 - Sunset

Lately, I've been trying to take Abby out on walks more often. She has been fussier in the early evenings after her afternoon nap and I've found that a walk really calms her down. She quiets down and just watches everything as it passes by. She also likes to kick up the blanket with her legs as we stroll down the sidewalk... if she has shoes on, one will usually come off at some point after enough kicking.
